Want your dachshund to be a Wiener Winner? Enter your dog in the Lake County Chamber’s Oktoberfest, “Dachshund Derby” to be held October 1, 2011, in downtown Lakeport.
There will be games and contests, beer & wine tasting, great food booths, arts and crafts booths, and music and entertainment throughout the entire day. This event is free to the entire community!
The Daschshund Derby will have a short course for the short-legged dachshunds, with an emphasis on safety. All dogs must have some dachshund in them, but need not be purebreds.
This contest has been graciously sponsored by Rainbow Ag, a terrific local feed, farm supply and tractor store.
The rules are simple: Vaccinated dogs only. Dogs must be leashed at all times except when racing. $10 entry fee. All dachshunds must be registered by close of business Thursday, September 30.
